Pulse Pilot vs Perpetua

Perpetua is a goal-based Amazon PPC platform for brands that advertise in many countries and across Amazon, Walmart and DSP. You set a target; its engine sets the bids. Pulse Pilot lets you write the rules yourself or go hands-off, and shows the reason behind every change. Here's how they compare.

We make Pulse Pilot, so we're not neutral. We've tried to be fair: facts about the other tool come from its own pages wherever possible, the sources are listed at the bottom, and this page says where it's the better pick. Prices and features change, so check theirs before you buy. Spot something out of date? Email support@pulsepilotppc.com and we'll fix it.

The short version

Choose Perpetua if
  • You advertise in many Amazon countries, or on Walmart or Instacart too
  • You run Amazon DSP and want it in the same tool
  • You want a client success team, and the budget for it
Choose Pulse Pilot if
  • You sell in the US, Canada or Mexico
  • You want to write your own bid rules, not just set a target
  • You want one flat price instead of $695 plus a percentage

What Pulse Pilot's Amazon PPC software does that Perpetua doesn't

Write your own bid rules on ACoS, clicks and orders
Perpetua's engine sets bids toward your target. Its documented bid rules trigger on organic rank and competitor signals [11][12]. In Pulse Pilot's Pilot, you write the bid rules yourself, on whatever metrics you choose.
Harvest winners straight into their own single-keyword campaign
When a search proves itself, Pulse Pilot can move it into its own SKC automatically, so it gets its own bid and budget. Perpetua can launch Keyword Boost campaigns by hand, but its engine harvests into the goal's existing campaigns [13][14].
A different lookback on every condition
"Expensive in the last 7 days" AND "enough clicks in the last 60" in one rule, each condition with its own date range and its own exclusion window. Perpetua's negative-match rule has one lookback for the whole rule and always skips the last 2 days [15].
A reason logged for every change
Perpetua keeps a 60-day bid history and a rules history [14][15]. Pulse Pilot logs the reason for each change.

Custom Amazon PPC rule building

Most Amazon PPC rule builders give a rule one date range. Pulse Pilot gives every condition its own. That matters, because the questions you actually ask run on different clocks:

Pulse Pilot Amazon PPC rule builder: IF ACoS is over 25% with a 7-day lookback AND clicks are over 40 with a 60-day lookback, each condition excluding today
One rule in Pulse Pilot: ACoS over 25% in the last 7 days, AND more than 40 clicks in the last 60 days.

In plain words: it's been expensive lately, and it's had enough clicks overall to judge it fairly. One rule, two clocks. Each condition also has its own exclusion, so it can skip the recent days Amazon is still filling in.

Where Perpetua is the better pick

  • Far more countries and channels. Sponsored Products in 21 Amazon marketplaces, plus Walmart and Instacart [3][2]. Pulse Pilot covers the US, Canada and Mexico.
  • Amazon DSP. Perpetua has a self-service DSP product [4]. Pulse Pilot doesn't run DSP.
  • A human team on bigger plans. Growth adds a client success team and check-ins; Premium adds a dedicated team [1].
  • Agency manager accounts with admin and manager roles across a group of accounts [5].

Where Pulse Pilot is also the better pick

  • About a third of the price. $199 a month at any spend, with unlimited products. At $10K of spend that's $496 a month less than Perpetua's entry plan [1].
  • A free trial, no sales call. Perpetua lists no free trial [6]. Pulse Pilot has a free trial and a free audit.
  • Hourly data on every plan. Perpetua lists hourly data and intraday changes on Growth, its plan for accounts over $10K of spend [1]. Pulse Pilot runs on Amazon's hourly data at every spend level.
  • No contract window. Perpetua processes cancellations within a window set in your contract and doesn't refund paid months [7]. Pulse Pilot is month to month.

How each one sets your Amazon ad bids

Perpetua is goal-based. For each goal you set a target ACoS and a daily budget, and its engine sets the bids, taking your whole ad history into account [8]. Perpetua suggests letting a goal run at least two weeks before changing it, and moving the target in small steps of 1–3% [8]. You can fix a bid so the engine leaves it alone, add bid multipliers, and layer rules for negatives, organic rank and inventory on top [9][10].

Pulse Pilot gives you two equal ways to run your ads. On Pilot, you build the rules yourself, with a lookback and an exclusion window on each condition, AND/OR logic, and a test run that shows what a rule would change before it touches a live bid. On Autopilot, Pulse Pilot builds and runs the campaign structure toward your goal, hands-off, including harvesting winning searches into their own single-keyword campaigns. Either way, the AI never sets a bid. Every change comes from readable rules and is logged with the reason. Click-count rules, dayparting and budget pacing run every hour on Amazon's hourly data.
