Spend Shield (Autopilot)

Spend Shield is the Autopilot page that shows each managed product's spend against the weekly budget you set, and lists the moments Pulse Pilot stepped in on a daily budget. It is read-only; the weekly budget itself is set on the product page. Pulse Pilot's own words, such as weekly envelope and managed product, are on Pulse Pilot Vocabulary.

Weekly envelope

One gauge per live managed product: the product's name, which day of the week it is, a state label, a bar with a tick at the on-track point for today, and the figures Spent, Weekly envelope, Daily pace against the envelope per day, and the On-pace target by today. The state label reads On pace, Watching, Over pace — enforced, Over pace — flagged, or No weekly budget set. A Report-only chip marks a product whose budgets Pulse Pilot reports on but does not change. When no product is live the card says a gauge will appear for each managed product.

When the shield stepped in

Date range. Today, Yesterday, 2d, 3d, 7d, 14d, 30d, 60d, 90d, All Time, or a custom range. Preselected (30d).

A table with Date, Campaign, Action, Daily budget (old → new) and a short explanation of the change. The Action chip reads Budget trim, Budget restored or Report-only. When nothing has happened in the range the card says no interventions were needed. The table options control switches grid lines, the crosshair and the zoom.

Always-on protections

A list of the protections that run for every managed product, each with a one-line description on the screen, and the date and result of the last books-balanced check between Pulse Pilot's records and Amazon.

Good to know

  1. Nothing on this page changes a budget. The weekly envelope is edited on the product page; daily budgets move by Pulse Pilot's own runs, and each move is listed here with its explanation.
  2. The state label is a label. On pace, Watching and Over pace describe where this week's spend sits against the envelope; the page does not print the boundaries.
  3. Report-only products are listed but untouched. Their gauge and any flagged rows show what Pulse Pilot would have done.
  4. Dates are Pacific time.
