Campaign Copilot

Campaign Copilot is the screen where you enrol a campaign so Copilot manages its bids toward a goal you choose, and where you pause, resume, reconfigure or remove it. This page describes what you see and what each button does. Pulse Pilot's own words, such as Copilot, Autopilot and shadow, are on Pulse Pilot Vocabulary; Amazon terms such as ACoS are in the Amazon advertising glossary.

Open Automations → Campaign Copilot. Each editable control below is marked Required, Optional or Preselected. Required means the button stays disabled until it is filled.

The enrolled list

Counters. Enrolled, Live and Shadow.

Filters. Search rules on the campaign name and a Campaign Tag multi-select; Clear appears when a filter is set. The count line reads "Showing N of M enrolled campaigns"; the numbers are for the last 30 days.

The table. One row per enrolled campaign: Campaign (with an SD badge for Sponsored Display), Goal (with the target ACoS under it for Optimize), Mode (Live or Shadow), Budget, Spend, Sales, ROAS, CVR, CPA and ACoS. The gear at the row's end opens the configure screen. The list does not show whether a campaign is paused; that is on its configure screen.

+ Enroll Additional Campaigns and, when nothing is enrolled yet, Enroll Your First Campaign open the enroll screen.

Enroll · step 1, pick campaigns

A table of every campaign that can be enrolled and is not: Campaign, Budget, State and Tags, with the same Search and Campaign Tag filters. Sponsored Products campaigns and Sponsored Display campaigns billed per click are listed; other campaigns are not. Click a row to select it. A bar shows "N campaign(s) selected" with Continue and Cancel. The gear on a row opens that one campaign's configure screen instead.

Enroll · step 2, configure and arm

The settings apply to every selected campaign; each can be changed on its own afterwards.

Goal. Required; Preselected (Optimize). Five cards: Launch, for a new product with little sales history; Grow, for a proven converter to scale; Optimize, to hold a specific ACoS; Liquidate, to clear inventory fast; Wind Down, for a product being exited. Each card carries an Expect line describing the pattern to expect. Choosing a card also resets the target below to that goal's default.

Target ACoS (%). Optional. A whole percentage; prefilled with the goal's default, and the line under the box shows the target the goal will aim for. Left blank, the goal's default is used.

Product ASIN. Required. The listing these campaigns advertise, ten characters starting with B0; the box upper-cases what you type and shows a message while the value is not a valid ASIN.

Shadow Mode (recommended for testing). Preselected (on). Ticked, Copilot shows what it would do and changes nothing; its planned moves can be reviewed in Account Health. Unticked, a red line warns that Copilot will change real bids on the selected campaigns.

Enroll N campaign(s). Disabled until the goal, ASIN and at least one campaign are in place. Enrolling saves the settings and arms Copilot on the campaigns in one step, then returns to the list. If the arm step fails, a message says the campaigns are enrolled but not armed and how to retry.

Configure

Reached from a row's gear. The title shows an Active pill when the campaign is enrolled.

Weekly bid tuning. Shown for an enrolled campaign: when the schedule was last tuned or reviewed and what changed, or that no tuning has run yet.

Suspended rules. A note saying how many of your own automation rules are suspended on this campaign while Copilot manages it; they resume if it is unenrolled.

Goal, Target ACoS (%) and Shadow Mode work as on the enroll screen. The configure screen does not ask for an ASIN.

Pause Copilot / Resume Copilot. Shown for an enrolled campaign. Pause stops Copilot acting on the campaign and keeps its goal, target and mode; Resume starts it again. Neither changes the other settings.

Remove from Copilot. Takes the campaign out of Copilot and stops its rules, with no confirmation step. The settings are kept, so it can be enrolled again later, and the campaign reappears in the enroll list.

Update Settings (enrolled) or Enable Campaign Copilot (not enrolled). Saves the goal, target and mode. Enabling a campaign for the first time also arms it. Updating an enrolled campaign changes only those settings: a paused campaign stays paused until you press Resume.

Cancel returns to the list.

Alerts

A list of the account's alerts, newest first, with an unread count. Scan Now asks Pulse Pilot to look for new alerts in the account's data and reports how many it added. Filter pills: All, Critical, Warning, Info, Performance, Keywords, Budget. Each card shows an icon for its type, the title, a severity chip and the time; clicking an unread card marks it read, the × dismisses it, and Dismiss All dismisses every card in the current filter.

Good to know

  1. Enrolling arms. There is no separate arm step: Enroll and Enable Campaign Copilot both save the settings and start Copilot on the campaign. Pause is the only way to stop it without removing it.
  2. Shadow is a mode, not a pause. A campaign in Shadow is enrolled and running; Copilot records what it would do and sends nothing to Amazon. Untick Shadow Mode and save to go live.
  3. Two doors, one difference. The bulk enroll screen requires the Product ASIN; the single-campaign configure screen does not ask for one.
  4. Your rules step aside. Automation rules you wrote are suspended on a campaign while Copilot manages it and resume when it is removed; the configure screen counts them.
  5. Not all campaigns are listed. Sponsored Brands campaigns and Sponsored Display campaigns billed per thousand impressions cannot be enrolled and do not appear.
