Search Terms

The Search Terms page is the Pilot list of what shoppers actually typed before clicking your ads, one row per search term under each keyword or target that matched it, with the numbers for the chosen date range. From here a term becomes a keyword, or a negative, in the campaigns you choose. Words such as search term, keyword, match type and negative are explained in the Amazon advertising glossary; Pulse Pilot's own words, such as Autopilot and Copilot, are on Pulse Pilot Vocabulary.

Open Performance → Search Terms. Each editable control below is marked Required, Optional or Preselected. Required means the Add button stays disabled until it is filled.

Date range

The date bar sets the range the numbers are summed over: Today, Yesterday, 2d, 3d, 7d, 14d, 30d, 60d, 90d, All Time, or a custom start and end. Preselected (30d); remembered between visits. Rows are daily records aggregated to one row per term, keyword, ad group and campaign within the range. The Performance Trends chart and KPI strip above the table plot the same data.

Filters

The filter card collapses with the chevron in its corner.

Search. Optional. Rules with a mode and a value, all of which must match the search term text. Same modes as the Keywords page.

Campaign and Ad Group. Optional. Multi-selects over SP and SB campaigns and the ad groups present in the loaded rows; empty means no filter. Arriving from the Campaigns page's S chip pre-fills Campaign.

Campaign Tag. Optional. A multi-select from the Campaign Tags page; a row passes with any selected tag.

Managed. Optional. Autopilot and/or Copilot. While the management list loads the table shows no rows and a note.

KPI Filters. Optional. Min and Max for Impressions, Clicks, CTR, Spend, Orders, Sales, CVR, CPC, ACoS, ROAS and CPA, applied to each row's totals for the range. Blank means unbounded; for ACoS and CPA a Min drops rows with no value and a Max keeps them.

Clear. Resets the KPI boxes and the Campaign, Ad Group and Campaign Tag filters, and drops the search rules. It leaves Managed and the date range as they are.

Export. Downloads the filtered rows as a CSV: search term, campaign, ad group, the range's numbers, impression share and the date span.

Columns

Columns (N) opens the picker; Search Term cannot be hidden. Drag a header to reorder, drag its edge to resize; the table options control switches grid lines, the crosshair and the zoom.

The columns: Search Term (with a copy icon, a NEG chip when an enabled negative for the term already exists in the same campaign, the Autopilot or Copilot badge, an SP or SB badge and the AMZ link), Keyword, Campaign, Ad Group, then Impr, Clicks, Spend, Sales, Orders, ACoS, ROAS, CPA, CPC, CTR, CVR, Imp Share%, Imp Rank and Dates, the span of days the row covers. The CPA, CPC, CTR, CVR, Imp Share%, Imp Rank and Dates columns form the advanced group, which collapses to a + tile. At the row's end, + KW and + Neg.

The table shows 500 rows per page; the footer offers 100, 200 or 500.

Sort

Click a header. The same column flips direction; a new column starts descending. Preselected (Spend, descending). Dates does not sort.

Per-row actions

Search Term. The AMZ chip searches Amazon for the term in a new tab. The copy icon copies it.

Campaign. Opens the Campaigns page filtered to that campaign with the same date range.

+ KW. Opens Add as Keyword for the row's term with its campaign and ad group pre-filled.

+ Neg. Opens Add as Negatives for the row's term with its own ad group pre-ticked as the destination.

Bulk actions

The header checkbox selects every filtered row across pages; row checkboxes select one. The bar reads "N terms selected" and offers Add as Keywords, Add as Negatives and Clear.

Add as Keywords

Campaign. Required. A dropdown of the account's enabled SP campaigns.

Ad Group. Required. The chosen campaign's ad groups; filled in automatically when the campaign has only one.

Match Type. Preselected (Exact). Exact, Phrase or Broad, one per submission.

Starting Bid ($). Preselected (0.75). A number of at least 0.02.

Add Keyword. Creates the keywords on Amazon at once and reports the count; the new keywords show on the Keywords page after Pulse Pilot next syncs them. When the account's live writes are off for the campaign, the window says the change was not applied.

Add as Negatives

Match Type(s). Required, at least one; Negative Exact is Preselected and Negative Phrase can be added. Terms shaped like an ASIN become negative product targets instead and take no match type.

Destinations. Required, at least one. Each term's own ad group is pre-ticked, with an unticked Entire campaign row for SP keyword terms. Add destination finds other campaigns by search or tag and adds an ad group or, for SP keyword terms, the entire campaign; SB destinations are ad-group only. A term already negative at a destination is marked and skipped there.

Add N Negative(s). Creates the negatives on Amazon at once. A phrase negative longer than Amazon's word limit is skipped and its exact negative still created, with a note. The result line counts what was added, what already existed, what was skipped and what failed; the list reloads on close so the NEG chips update.

Good to know

  1. Everything here writes immediately. Add as Keywords and Add as Negatives call Amazon while the window is open and report the result; nothing is queued.
  2. Add as Keywords offers enabled SP campaigns only. A term from an SB campaign, or a paused campaign, has to go to an SP campaign that is enabled.
  3. The NEG chip looks at the term's own campaign. It shows when an enabled negative for the term exists in that campaign or its ad group; a negative in another campaign does not light it.
  4. Clear drops the search rules. Managed stays as set; the date range stays as set.
  5. The export leaves out three columns. Keyword, CPA and Imp Rank are on screen but not in the CSV.
  6. No managed-campaign warning on this page. Adding a keyword or negative to a campaign under Autopilot or Copilot goes through without a prompt.
