Product Targeting
The Product Targeting page is the Pilot list of every product target in the account's SP and SD campaigns: the ASIN, category, brand, price or rating expression the ad is aimed at, with its bid, state and numbers for the chosen date range. From here you change bids and states one row at a time or in bulk, add targets as negatives, and tag them. Words such as product targeting, ASIN and ACoS are explained in the Amazon advertising glossary; Pulse Pilot's own words, such as Autopilot, Copilot and protection, are on Pulse Pilot Vocabulary.
Open Performance → Product Targeting. Each editable control below is marked Required, Optional or Preselected. Required means the value is checked before it is saved.
Date range
The date bar sets the range the numbers are summed over: Today, Yesterday, 2d, 3d, 7d, 14d, 30d, 60d, 90d, All Time, or a custom start and end. Preselected (30d); remembered between visits. With Today selected, ACoS, ROAS and CPA carry a dagger and are marked provisional, because Amazon revises attributed sales after the day closes. The Performance Trends chart above the table plots up to three metrics for the range.
Filters
The filter card collapses with the chevron in its corner. Arriving from the Campaigns page's P chip pre-fills the Campaign filter.
Search. Optional. Rules with a mode and a value, all of which must match the target text. Same modes as the Keywords page.
Campaign and Ad Group. Optional. Multi-selects over SP and SD campaigns; empty means no filter.
Campaign Tag and Target Tag. Optional. Multi-selects from the Campaign Tags and Keyword Tags pages; a row must carry every selected tag. Target tags share the keyword-tag list.
Target Type. Preselected (all). ASIN, Category, Brand. Ticking some but not all of them hides every row of another kind, including price and rating expressions and SD targets.
Status. Preselected (all). Enabled, Paused, Archived.
Managed. Optional. Autopilot and/or Copilot. While the management list loads the table shows no rows and a note.
KPI Filters. Optional. Min and Max for Impressions, Clicks, CTR, Spend, Orders, Sales, CVR, CPC, ACoS, ROAS, CPA and Bid. Blank means unbounded. For ACoS, CPA and Bid a Min drops rows with no value and a Max keeps them.
Clear. Resets Search, Target Type, Status, the KPI boxes, Campaign, Ad Group and both tag filters. It leaves Managed and the date range as they are.
Export. Downloads the filtered rows as a CSV: target, type, status, bid, the range's numbers, campaign and tags. The selection does not narrow it.
Columns
Columns (N) opens the picker; Target cannot be hidden. Drag a header to reorder, drag its edge to resize, double-click the edge to reset; the table options control switches grid lines, the crosshair and the zoom.
The columns: Target (the expression, with an ASIN: prefix when it is one, plus the Autopilot or Copilot badge, an SP or SD badge, the AMZ link, the quick-view icon and the copy icon), Type (ASIN, Category, Brand, Price <, Price >, Price Range, Rating <, Rating >, Rating Range), State, Bid, Suggested $, then Impr, Clicks, CTR, Spend, Sales, Orders, ACoS, ROAS, CPA, CPC and CVR for the range, Top IS%, Units, NTB Ord, NTB Sales, NTB%, Sales 14d, ACoS 14d, Sales 30d, ACoS 30d, Campaign, Ad Group, and a Tags cell at the right end. The NTB, 14d, 30d, Top IS% and Units columns form the advanced group, which collapses to a + tile.
Bid on an SD row shows the amount with /click or /1000 impr and an Edit button. Suggested $ is Amazon's suggested bid; hovering shows the range. A dash means Amazon returned none.
The table shows 200 rows per page; the footer offers 100, 200 or 500.
Sort
Click a column's chevron. The same column flips direction; a new column starts descending. Preselected (Spend, descending). Type, State, Suggested $, Campaign, Ad Group and Tags do not sort.
Per-row actions
Target. Click the text to open the target's full detail page. The AMZ chip searches Amazon for category and brand text in a new tab; ASIN rows have no chip. The quick-view icon opens the target window: its own date range, KPI cards, chart, Bid Change History and an action row with a bid box (Set $, Inc % or Dec %), Apply Bid, Enable, Pause and Add Negative. Required for Apply Bid, a number above zero.
State. On SP rows the glyph toggles enabled and paused; archived rows do not toggle. On SD rows a pill button does the same. A DP chip means an active dayparting rule covers the target.
Bid (SP). Click the value to edit; ✓ or Enter saves, ✗ or Esc cancels. Required, a non-empty value. If the target's campaign is under Autopilot or Copilot, the protection dialog opens first (see Bid protection).
Bid (SD). Edit opens "Edit SD Target Bid" with the current bid and a New Bid box. Required, a number of at least 0.02 for a per-click bid or 1.00 for a per-thousand- impressions bid; a lower value is not saved. Enter saves, Esc closes.
Protection chip. Shown while a manual bid is protected; clicking it removes the protection and hands the bid back to automation at once.
Campaign. Opens the campaign page in a new tab.
Tags. The tag editor: type a new tag, or click a pool chip to add or remove it. Tags are stored in lower case.
Bid protection
A bid you set on a target that Autopilot or Copilot manages would be changed back by automation on its next run. The dialog that opens on such a bid asks how long to keep yours: 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days (Preselected), Until 20 clicks, Indefinitely, or Don't protect, which sets the bid now as automation's new starting point; Keep current protection appears when one already exists. Cancel leaves the bid unchanged. The dialog's wording says "keyword" on target rows too.
Bulk actions
The header checkbox selects every filtered row across pages; row checkboxes select one. With a selection the bar shows Adjust Bid, Enable, Pause, Archive, Add as Negative and Clear.
Adjust Bid. The same window as on the Keywords page: Set exact bid, Increase by (%), Decrease by (%), Increase by (+$), Decrease by (−$) or Set to CPC. Required, a value. The relative modes take an Optional Clamp result Min $ and Max $. The Preview shows the first three targets before and after. Results are rounded to the cent and never go below $0.02. Managed targets open the protection dialog once for the whole batch. SP and SD rows are sent by their own routes; the bar reports each count.
Enable / Pause / Archive. Queues the state for each selected target at once, with no confirmation step. Archived targets cannot be restored.
Add as Negative. Opens the negatives window with each selected target as an ASIN negative. Required, at least one destination; each target's own ad group is pre-ticked and Add destination finds other ad groups by search or tag. Negative targets are ad- group level only. The result line counts what was added, what already existed and what failed.
Clear. Empties the selection.
Good to know
- Bids and states are queued. A change shows at once and waits until Pulse Pilot sends it to Amazon; if Amazon refuses it, the row reverts and a message says so. Only the SP state cell shows a pending marker while it waits. Tags, protection and negatives are immediate.
- Archive asks nothing. Unlike the Keywords page, bulk Archive here runs as soon as you click it.
- There is no bulk Tag and no per-row archive on this page. Tag targets one row at a time from the Tags cell; archive from the bulk bar.
- Add as Negative sends the target text as an ASIN. A category, brand, price or rating row selected for negation is sent as written and fails at Amazon; select ASIN rows for this action.
- Clear does not reset Managed. Untick Autopilot or Copilot in the Managed control to see every row again.
Pulse Pilot automates your Amazon advertising — bids, dayparting, search-term harvesting, and budgets — and shows you the receipt for every dollar it moves.
